Refresh Breathwork ("Refresh", "we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name through Firebase Authentication (including Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In). If you use Sign in with Apple, your email may be a private relay address provided by Apple.

Usage Data: We collect information about your use of the app, including:

• Breathwork sessions (technique, duration, and completion status)
• Custom rituals you create (name, technique, schedule, and category)
• Achievements and milestones you unlock
• User statistics (streak count, total minutes, total sessions, and weekly goals)

Device Information: We may collect basic device information such as device type, operating system version, and app version for analytics and troubleshooting.

Information We Do NOT Collect: Refresh does not collect health or fitness sensor data, location data, contacts, financial information, or advertising/tracking identifiers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Refresh app
• Track your breathwork progress, streaks, and achievements
• Sync your data across devices via Firebase Cloud Firestore
• Process subscriptions through Apple's In-App Purchase system
• Send important service-related notifications
• Analyze usage patterns to improve the app experience

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase services, including Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore. All cloud data is stored under your unique user ID with strict security rules. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information.

Session data, rituals, and preferences are also stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework and may be synced to the cloud for backup and cross-device access.

4. Third-Party Services

Refresh uses the following third-party services:

• Firebase (Google): Authentication, data storage, and analytics
• Apple StoreKit / Superwall: Subscription management and payment processing
• Sign in with Apple / Google Sign-In: Account authentication

These services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data only in the following circumstances:

• With service providers who assist in operating the app (Firebase, Apple)
• When required by law or to protect our rights
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with notice)

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from within the app (Profile → Delete Account). When you delete your account:

• All Cloud Firestore data is permanently removed (sessions, rituals, achievements, and stats)
• Your Firebase Authentication account is deleted
• Local data stored on your device is cleared on sign-out

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Export your data in a portable format

8. Children's Privacy

Refresh is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy within the app or via email. Your continued use of Refresh after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
